We would like to thank Street Library very much for the donation as winners of the CBCA (VIC Branch) 2021 Book Week competition.
The students at Bellbrae Primary were very excited that they won the competition. Some grade 6 students painted the Street Library before we had it put up at the front of our school. (Siena, Alannah and Lara – left to right looking at pic) and the library set up ready for use.
The school library monitors (grade 5 students) will be caring for the Street Library amongst their many duties in 2022. Over the summer holidays, we have some local families keeping an eye on it. It has been great to see school families and other local families making use of the Street Library, both taking books out to read and putting some in for others to enjoy.
