Launched during Ballarat Pride Month in 2024, it serves as a hub for sharing and discovering knowledge.
A Queer Little Library is designed to be a welcoming hub where visitors can come together to share, discover, and engage with a wide array of literature that reflects the experiences, histories, and stories of the LGBTIQA+ community. From classic works to contemporary voices, the collection encompasses a broad spectrum of genres, ensuring that there is something for everyone, whether they are seeking to learn, connect, or simply enjoy a good read.
Through its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to inclusivity, A Queer Little Library stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment, inviting everyone to explore the multifaceted world of LGBTIQA+ literature and to celebrate the rich tapestry of queer lives. Whether you are a lifelong advocate for queer rights or someone just beginning to explore these narratives, this library promises to be a place of discovery, learning, and community engagement.
This initiative is brought to life by the City of Ballarat’s LGBTIQA+ Advisory Committee and can be found at TBH Studio*, which welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
TBH Studio is located in the Bridge Mall, next to Collins Booksellers.
