Ailsa’s Library

46 Corona Avenue, Ashgrove 4060

Sharing books brings community together and recycles books that may otherwise be thrown out. My library is a focal feature of our front yard and a conversation starter for people passing by.

My library is dedicated to my sister Ailsa (hence Ailsa’s Library) who loved books and read as much as she could before dying of cancer at an early age. At her wake her friends wrote messages to her on the back wall of the library so she will always be remembered as someone who loved books. Her friends and others will continually remember Ailsa wherever they check out Ailsa’s Library.
