ALAMEIN TINY LIBRARY

49 Ashburn Grove Ashburton 3147 Vic

The Alamein Tiny library is an elegant construction made of charcoal steel, to match our newly refurbished entrance. At 6 feet High and 2 feet wide , it was built in 2022 when the new premises for Alamein Neighbourhood & Learning was rebuilt.
We also have a spill over library on the Park fence next door.

Our first Library was built by Our Mens Shed and officially opened in 2017. The other Tiny Library was open just after our new building was completed in 2022.
I have been the Tiny Librarian since it was opened. The libraries are well situated as we are opposite the Alamein Train station, therefore the foot traffic is fantastic for readers to grab a book for their journeys. Also our students and people who drop into Alamein have the libraries on their doorstep. We have lots of people donating books for our Libraries which keep us going.
