Alexander Ave Kids Library

13 alexander ave Cumberland park

This library was designed and built by Charles and his friend Bruno. It’s just for kids in the neighbourhood to share and donate their books.

One day Charles had an idea… to build a community library on his street that was designed just for kids to swap, borrow, share and donate children’s books. Charlie, who loves reading, has many friends in the street who share the same love and he wanted to help that love of reading develop amongst all kids in the community. Luckily Charles had a great friend up the road, Bruno. Bruno has a shed full of tools and he’s also very clever at building things. Together Bruno and Charlie built a beautiful community library which sits nestled amongst the purple jacarandas. Kids from around the neighbourhood are welcome to enjoy all that it has to offer – books and so much more.
