Our street library was instigated by the Balaklava Community Library, after becoming aware of the street libraries being created around Australia.

With Wakefield Regional Council support, the Balaklava Community Library approached the Balaklava Men’s Shed to ask them to create a library for our town. The Men’s Shed took on the task, and it is now erected in the Balaklava Caravan Park. Ready for both tourists and locals to enjoy.
