BenHouse Street Library

7 Greenwood Street Burwood, Victoria, 3125

You’re invited to take a book, leave a book, pick up a Term brochure or drop in and see what's on at Bennettswood Neighbourhood House.

Our little street library is located at the garden entrance of Bennettswood Neighbourhood House and is accessible from the street. The House is a friendly and welcoming community space where people can access affordable social and recreational programs in health and wellbeing, community music, basic technology and social activities. The library was donated and installed by the City of Whitehorse and painted by artist Julie Garner. With its bright and playful artwork and bright red post, the library reflects the essence, appearance and philosophy of Bennettswood Neighbourhood House and serves as an invitation to access and share the joy of books and love of reading. Member for Burwood Graham Watt MP launched BenHouse Street Library at the annual general meeting of Bennettswood Neighbourhood House Inc on 22nd October 2018. Volunteers keep the library and surrounding garden tidy. We love our little community library!
