Covered in bright and colourful spring flowers, our library is in memory of Betty the matron of our street and her beautiful garden.
Our street is already a bonded community and the library filled with books within a few days. It’s presence was soon seen if not spread by word of mouth.
Betty was always busy making her garden beautiful, loving to chat and tell a story as you passed by. She also loved to read books and will be dearly missed. The library is a way to get our community to continue to drop by her home, catch up and collect a good book to read.
The library has a permanent spot but may be brought inside at night or during wet weather to maintain it’s good condition. It has been well received, especially by Betty’s family.
