Two sisters built this library from scratch in light of strengthening our rural community through the love of sharing and books. Our library resembles a sustainable house – with solar panels, windmills, a battery, trees, and bees! Where possible materials, such as the lego handle, have been recycled to reflect the philosophy of recycling reading material. The Book Maits on Maitland sits proudly outside our own local community-owned renewable organisation, Geni.Energy, and will for many years to come!
