I created this street library as part of my Year 6 Graduate Diploma project because I LOVE to read and wanted to share that love with my neighbourhood, especially with kids at the this time of the Covid-19 isolation and no school libraries as well as all local libraries being closed.
The decoration inspiration came from an idea of putting my own quote about reading, as well as some famous book quotes all over the exterior of the library. I also added some famous books that I have LOVED reading.
I hope that this library brings lots of local children happiness from being able to borrow and share books and love reading like I do.
Do you have kids who love to read? Are you a kid who loves to read? You should visit my street library because it is stocked full of kids books, and is made and maintained by a kid who LOVES to read. By popular demand we have included some adult books, but the focus is on young kids.
