CELC Mary Queen of the Family Parish 62a Orwell St Blacktown NSW 2148

Our street library is a celebration of the importance of shared reading experiences with children in the development of both written and spoken language.

CELC Mary Queen of the Family Parish luckily received a Street Library from Blacktown City Council during their Street Library giveaway.
We held a fun competition where children and families submitted entries of their proposed Street Library decoration. The winning entry was awarded to the Bolwell family.
During the 2018 Children’s Book Week celebrations we launched our Street Library with the help of our community partners. Mr Hugh McDermott MP for Prospect, St Hedwig’s Village Managers, representatives of year 5 from St Michael’s Catholic Primary School, Parents and Friends.
