Inspired by another couple of Street Libraries nearby, it recently occured to our family that ‘heck yes, we must be a part of this’ and put our street on the Street Library Map!
After much online browsing and researching all things street libraries, we got together a mighty fine collection of mixed-genred books and enjoyed the challenge of repurposing a pre-loved refrigerator.
Our goals are to increase literacy, minimise ‘screen time’ and encourage a sense of community.
We have something for everyone!
From factual reads and novels
to recipe collections and pictured books for the Kiddies. And of course everything in between.
We now have our brand-new ‘receptacle of readables’ up and running for all sorts of folk from near and far.
