I spotted an advertisement for street libraries in an issue of the Big Issue and thought what a great idea. I could do that, it would be fantastic for the community. A neighbour had an old wine fridge which she said I could have, so I painted it bright red and with the help of my kids cleaned and filled it with books. We printed out some stickers and stuck them in the books ready for them to go out into the community. We have already had some visits to the library and lots of neighbours love it. The children love checking to see what is in there.
Housed in an old wine fridge there is hopefully a book for all tastes. If you are looking for fact or fiction and whether you are young or old come and find something to read today.
