I was so excited with the concept when I saw a friend’s Street Library, I wanted one! I bought my library from the Men’s Shed at Glebe. it’s now painted and up and running! I have a librarian who works with me, 9 year old Ryan, who loves our Street Library and is so enthusiastic. We maintain it together. We also put in a herb garden next to the library so people can borrow a book and take some herbs. We invited everyone in our street to the opening which was so much fun. People now visit and talk. It’s fantastic.
Lots of children's books and adult books, something to suit everyone. You're welcome to borrow a book any time and pick some herbs from our garden to take home.
