Brookvale Park Street Library

2 Pine Ave, Brookvale NSW, Australia

Come and relax in the park with a book from our library. Read, swap, donate, share and enjoy.

Brookvale Park Library was created in collaboration with our local Men’s Shed where it was carefully constructed, assembled and then delivered to the Brookvale Children’s centre.
There it waited for the next step. We wanted Brookvale Park Street Library to reflect our local area and the heritage of the indigenous people of this area.
It was painted by Nikeeta Haverfield a young artist living in western Sydney. Three years ago the Tharawal land council recognised Nikeeta. ‘Nikeeta believes in the power of art to create inspired revelations, insight and profound understandings of stories of indigenous people and culture.’
The artwork on our library reflects where Brookvale is located – Where the mountains meet the sea.
Brookvale Street Library reflects Brookvale Children’s Centre – Northern Beaches Council Children’s Services commitment to sharing literacy through books to our local community.
