Buku-buku Batak (Batak books) – Dresden Reserve, Modbury Heights

21 Wedgwood Road, Modbury Heights, SA, Australia, 5092

Share books with our neighbourhood, discover a recycled fairyland village, swap painted rocks - all around our Batak book house.

The Batak book house celebrates the diversity in our community, encourages sharing and demonstrates recycling. The Batak book house used to be a dog-house and uses discarded and reclaimed wood off-cuts. It is modelled on the Batak houses of Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Indonesia.

Around the Batak book house is an SA Rock swap place and a Fairyland village which is also made from (mainly) recycled materialst. We invite you to add to the village. (No glass please).

Our buku-buku Batak is for reading, exploring, playing and growing.

We encourage gentle hands, sharing, respecting and enjoying
