We were inspired by a documentary on ABC television about street libraries in Australia, We realised a library would be a wonderful resource to share in our small rural community. We spotted the 1930’s wardrobe on Gumtree and after purchasing it for the princely sum of $10, we set to work on renovating it. We removed the dilapidated mirror and coat rack, and added some wooden shelves. The painting took the most work (and expense), but now we are thrilled with the result!
