Cactus Joe

13 Bishopgate Street, NEWTOWN, NSW, Australia

The bare laneway of Bishopgate Lane is adorned by an apocalyptic mural. One of the first plants you find in a such desert is the cactus. This cactus is painted, named Joe, and full of books.

Our family loves reading, it’s terrific to share such a gift. This library was gifted to us by Jon and painted by Any and Sophie. Joe is topped up with books by Oscar, Fred and Rob and the many friendly people who walk along Bishopgate Lane.
