Our community street library started off as a bedside table found in a charity shop which was converted into the wonderful library by Bentmoor Men’s Shed in Moorabbin. We painted it as brightly as possible so it would stand out and now have a library for our visitors and wider community to share, swap and borrow books and magazines along with swapping seeds for their gardens
Our street library is a work of art in itself and very quirky! As a Community Centre, we wanted to have a greater reach for community members so we have magazines, books and also a seed swap draw for people to borrow, swap and share.
