My children and I have loved borrowing from, and donating to, our local street libraries. We’ve read books we would never have picked up otherwise. Some have become favourites…others not!
We’ve wanted our own street library for years, and City of Parramatta Council helped make it happen with a competition for residents and local businesses owners. Thanks COP!!!
We’re near a primary school, so plenty of children and adults come past every day. I hope our street library gives them something to look forward to – the promise of a new book, a new adventure, an escape in the pages.
Overall, I hope our little rainbow street library helps us give back to the community and return some of the joy we’ve gotten from street libraries over the years 🌈
