Chippendale Lane Street Library

23 Chippendale Street, Claremont, Tasmania, 7011

Chippendale Lane Street Library is a cute little blue library bolted to a high stool in a laneway in Claremont, Tasmania. It offers fiction and nonfiction books for all ages. It is surrounded by flowers and there is a basket of lemons and apples for visitors.

The creators, Shelley and Kendal, won a grant from the Tasmanian Health Department and Relationships Australia as part of their commitment to funding neighbourhood community projects. The creators are both passionate readers and writers who want to encourage reading and sharing books, produce and conversation in their local community.
