It all started with a basket of donated books to give away to kindy families. From here the idea of a community library started and kindy families began taking, swapping and sharing. A wooden hutch on wheels was donated to us and from here the library has grown and will be launched as a community street library on Wednesday 22nd May 2019 on Simultaneous Story-time day. Reading to young children is such an important part of their early growth. We believe that every child should have access to lots of books and enjoy the benefits of a solid foundation in early literacy.
Every young child should have access to books, and lots of them! Our street library is full of books for children in the early years, full of wonder, excitement, adventure and learning. Give a children's book, share a children's book, take a children's book.
