Cooranbong Community Library can be found outside Cooranbong Community Preschool and is available for all our community to use. The street library will have a ‘bring a book or take a book’ format.

Our ‘free book swap’ idea began as a preschool literacy project as educators wanted all children to have access to a book.
Each Tuesday the Cooranbong Community Preschool offers a free book swap for families with a ‘take a book or/and bring a book’ philosophy.
We wanted to extend and share our literacy objective with the wider community.
We chose to build a street library in the adjacent grass area so everyone who wanted to, could choose to donate a book, sit to read a book or take a book. The bench seat is for ‘book lovers’ to rest and read a book in a natural peaceful setting.
