What started as a dream has finally come to life! The team at Denison Street with the help of the local men’s shed, have been hard at work planning and creating our very own community library. We believe that everyone should have access to books and love when the children visit it on their way to and from our service each day.
The aim of the library is to provide our community more accessibility to books without the time constraint of visiting the library. There are seats out the front to give you time to browse and even read a few chapters on a sunny day. Denison Street ELC will continue to ensure there are books in the library, the local Uniting Church has also offered to provide books throughout the year to help keep it stocked and we hope that with time the community will read and swap and replace books as well.
Feel free when you are driving/walking past to grab or drop off a book. We look forward to hearing about all of your reading adventures.
TAKE A BOOK. GIVE A BOOK. SHARE A BOOK.
