Dicky Beach Little Library

1 Bell Street, Dicky Beach QLD

A community project, built with bits and pieces donated by residents and made with love. One block from the beach, pick up a book on your way past.

My husband and I have been living in the USA for the last 10 years and have seen many different libraries on our travels over there. We always thought what a great idea it was for the local community.

Now that we live in Dicky Beach and have a permanent home, we decided it was a good time to have one in our own area too. We floated the idea with our neighbours and all we heard was positive feedback.

We have a few local ladies (or assistant Librarians) who will be monitoring the library and maintaining order, refreshing books when needed and promoting it to locals.
