Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre Street Library

21 Sturt Street, Telopea NSW 2117

Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre's moto is "Building a strong and connected community", and this brightly coloured street library is a beautiful home for books, planted in an accessible location at the centre, and offers a way to share good things to read with the local community.

Street Libraries encourage books to be recycled and shared by:

• Providing any member of the community access to literature and the joys of reading;

• Providing opportunities for community members to meet, connect and socialise; and

• Enlivening and activating public spaces.

The City of Parramatta Council is working with the community to share books through the installation of Street Libraries in our public domain.

The libraries work on an honesty system with the motto “Take a book; leave a book”.

Street Libraries increase community activation and invites the community to share the joys of reading and create lasting connections inside their community.
