Dundas Village Shops Street Library

2 Station Street, Dundas

Street Libraries are beautiful homes for books, planted in community locations and offers a way to share good things to read.

Street Libraries encourage books to be recycled and shared by:

• Providing any member of the community access to literature and the joys of reading;

• Providing opportunities for community members to meet, connect and socialise; and

• Enlivening and activating public spaces.

The City of Parramatta Council is working with the community to share books through the installation of Street Libraries in our public domain.

The Dundas Village Shops Street Library was lovingly painted by the children of Dundas Public School and is very popular with the local community.

Street Libraries work on an honesty system with the motto “Take a book; leave a book”.

Street Libraries increase community activation and invites the community to share the joys of reading and create lasting connections inside their community.
