Ebony & Ivory Street Library

189 Moorabool Street

Books, coffee, couches, fireplace. What more could you ask for?

The shelves at Ebony & Ivory are overflowing with over 400 books which range from non-fiction to sci-fi, romance, thriller, kids, fantasy, auto-biographies, history, and everything in-between! Grab a book with a coffee or some tea and sit yourself in our comfy couches by the fireplace.

This Street Library started in June 2019 after our cafe underwent some renovations. With a lot of shelf space to fill, I decided to involve the community by filling them with books and making a functioning street library. Now anyone may take a book home with them if one catches their attention during a meal or a coffee break.

All the books on all the shelves are part of the Street Library with the exception of the 26 volume encyclopedia collection which belongs to the owners. However you are more than welcome to pick one up and flick through it!
