We spent the weekend building our library. It has been made from left over things from other projects and we bought nothing to make it. Just for fun, it has been decoupaged with the pages of a book that was falling apart way too much to put in the library. It also has solar lights and a translucent roof, therefore the books are easily accessible even once the sun goes down. Now, after a lovely couple of days, our library is up and running. Two things we believe are very important – sustainability and learning. All libraries are both of those things. Sustainable because many people benefit from a book that is read and returned many times. People learn something from every book they read. Quoting Ray Bradbury – “Without libraries what have we? We have no future and no past.”
After a hard day of sight seeing in the Blue Mountains the best way to rest is with your feet up, reading good book!
