Eucalyptus

2 Daphne Street, Prospect, Adelaide, South Australia

Placed on our front fence and close to local shops, our library has passing book lovers of all ages every day.

I have always loved reading and sharing books. I’m also a great recycler, and the notion of a continual flow of books makes good sense to me. I check our library every day and alter the arrangement, so it always looks different. That’s important to me, (I’m an artist), but it also keeps up interest. Our house is a typical Adelaide old stone villa with a front garden of Australian native plants. My inspiration for the decoration were the two volumes on Eucalypts by Stan Kelly, and the three eucalyptus flowers I’ve painted on the sides are all in our garden, planted by me.
