Farnborough Store – First Five Forever Street Library

595 Farnborough Rd, Farnborough QLD 4703

This street library is positioned outside the Farnborough Store near the town of Yeppoon. This street library is across the road from the Farnborough State Primary School so has been designed to promote our Livingstone Shire Council libraries First Five Forever library programs. The bright artistic work has been professionally created by local artist Martin Schlick. It can easily be seen from the road and parking is easy via entering into the Farnborough Store carpark.

This is one of two Street Libraries situated in the Yeppoon area supported by Livingstone Shire Council libraries. The building, design and placement has been a collaboration of community members including the Men’s Shed – who built both Street libraries in Yeppoon
Martin Schlick an award winning local professional artist who has created many well known murals and street art in our regional area.
Farnborough Store agreed to have the Street Library on site and act as as steward. The Farnborough State School and local residents support the Street Library with donations of books so that everyone can enjoy being able to take a book or give a book.
Livingstone Shire Council support the library staff maintaining the Street LIbraries and the work of placement of the Street Library through our facilities departments.
A true community effort that has garnered alot of interest, including the launch being on our local 7 news TV channel!
