Our library was constructed with love from all recycled materials; an old cabinet a neighbour was getting rid of, doors made from recycled wood and upcycled Perspex. The cute rustic shabby chic beige handles came from another cabinet rescued from a council clean up. The corrugated iron roof came from another neighbour’s old shed that was taken down. My bookish neighbour made the cabinet. It was painted with love and external house paint by my art therapist and I. Come take a good book, leave a good book. Read to your heart’s content. Encourage your children and loves ones to read. Learn and grow. Reading also takes you to other worlds and soothes the mind, heart and soul. Street libraries encourage reading, save you money on books and helps the environment as less books get thrown out. Always remember that you rock. Go for your dreams.
