We love to read, hate to throw away books so having been a teacher- librarian I had to embrace this wonderful idea. My husband made the library from some secondhand bits and pieces with the help of a friend who had also recently built a street library. So the library has been up and running for a couple of months now and the community and family have been donating and using the books. We add and change books intermittently and it seems that books are being borrowed quite frequently. A great way for us to interact with our community.
