This shady spot was crying out for a Street Library! Billington St is also a popular thoroughfare for dog walkers on their way to the off-leash area in Alderley Grove, so it seemed a worthwhile endeavour to give the Street Library a go. Not being at all handy with a hammer and screwdriver, we nevertheless managed the assembly task at hand, painted the exterior and have now launched the GoodReads Library. The responses and contributions from neighbours have been fantastic!
Positioned under the shade of a lovely Jacaranda tree on Billington St, Alderley, the 'GoodReads Library' is full of interesting books contributed by our enthusiastic, community-minded neighbours.
