Gowrie Mayfield Community Library

4 Frith Street, Mayfield NSW 2304

Our unique street library featuring a delightful succulent garden and bench seat for those who would like to sit and peruse our selection. We feature a mix of adult and children's stories which are updated regularly.

Inspired by a donation of children’s books by families at our service, sparked conversation around how we can share our love of stories with the wider Mayfield community. Stephen Smith (a father of an Educator) enthusiastically volunteered his time to build a library which soon became a project very near and dear to his heart. An avid reader himself he shared his dreams for the library. He hopes the children who attend this service and the wider community can gain enjoyment from sharing stories and reading with their families as books are a lovely way to build connection and foster strong relationships. This community library has seen the addition of painted shells and rocks made by children within Gowrie Mayfield.
