When my super-reader Dad in WA lost access to libraries during COVID-19, I explained Street Libraries to him. No sooner had I read him the addresses of the four Street Libraries in his area, he couldn’t get off the phone soon enough… and that made me think about starting one of my own. ‘Hello, St Marks’ has opened with adult and YA fiction and Nat Geos. I’d need some junior librarians to feed it with kid’s books, so we’ll see what happens naturally. Isn’t that a lovely thought?
