Hinton Public School Street Library

Hinton Public School, Paterson Street, Hinton, NSW, Australia, 2321

Our Street Library stands right outside our School Library, built in 1877, and is painted with the same heritage colours used on our library building.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted people to still be able to read a book while they self-isolate. We decided to resurrect a forgotten project and give some finishing touches to the Street Library that we had planned on erecting a couple of years ago.
As the library was going to be placed on our front fence, outside our old hertiage library building, built in 1877 as the main school building at the time, we decided to paint our Street Library with the same paint used in the school library’s recent face lift.
We love to encourage everybody to read and some of our older neighbours may not get out much but they can walk down to the school and find a book.
Our Street Library will be
