My wife Janelle was a voracious reader all her life, and a Street Library is a perfect reflection of her enthusiasm for books, but also as a form of encouragement for others who may like to take up reading on a more regular basis.
Janelle also found that denying anyone the right to develop literacy skills in a country like ours was unacceptable, as it closed more doors than it opened to many opportunities in life
Janelle past away in 2022 and, as one of her requests, a Street Library was to be provided to her Community as a form joy and encouragement to the street in which she lived for 30 years
