This library was built by Josie’s son John, as a birthday gift for her during Sydney’s long lockdown in 2021. It is painted green and decorated with pretty hand-painted flowers and dragonflies that blend in with Josie’s beautiful little front garden. It represents Josie’s commitment to her community, to nurture a friendly neighbourhood and to encourage caring and curiosity for books and reading, especially in the little kids who regularly walk past on the way to the park with their parents.
Josie is 93 years young and loves to read so much that she wants to share the love with everyone. Josie's Street Library has books for everyone no matter how young you are!
