Our story started sometime in 2019 with a small wooden bookcase. Over the years, we upgraded to a hot pink metal filing cabinet and eventually added two pop-up greenhouses. We also branched out from having ‘just’ books to also offering puzzles and games.
With the amazing financial support of our local community, we upgraded yet again in late 2024: Kaleen Heights Street Library is now inside a walk-in greenhouse! We are home to an ever changing range of books, puzzles and games.
You can also follow us on Facebook – just search for Kaleen Heights Street Library.
And here is how it works:
We operate on a ‘take one, leave one’ basis and don’t accept bulk donations.
Please only leave items that will be likely of interest to others.
DON’T LEAVE:
• Books with yellowed pages
• Special interest or religious books
• Puzzles or games with missing pieces
• Items with sun or water damage
• Anything that is (or looks) damaged or broken
• Anything that is older than a couple of years
• Toys
• Anything that you wouldn’t pick for yourself.
• Bags or boxes full of books/games/puzzles. If you have larger quantities of books, puzzles or games to gift, please consider donating them to Lifeline.
