Reading with your child from a young age can make an incredible difference to their school achievements. Reading to children builds on a child’s vocabulary and the use of words, teaches them that marks on a page represent letters and words, and that words are made up of smaller words (phonemic awareness). Reading with your child is also a wonderful way to bond and share some quality time together.
Reading for adults can be a great relaxation tool and a way to unwind from the stresses of everyday life.
We hope that by encouraging people to ‘Leave a book and take a book’ our library will always be well-stocked with a wide variety of books for all ages. We encourage any members of the wider community to come in and utilize the library (which we have in our front entry to protect the books from the elements).
We hope the community enjoys the wide selection of books we have for all ages of children, as well as the adult books and magazines available.
