I am a retired teacher and love reading books. There is always one beside my bed – opening it is the first thing I do in the morning. I spend time each week volunteering at our local public school with kindergarten children as they begin their reading adventures. Having a little street library for passersby to enjoy is one way I can make a positive difference in my local community.
Reading is good for one's soul. Giving to community is good for one's soul. There is nothing better than getting lost in a book.
