To begin the process, we spoke with the children and their families to share our ideas. We looked at photos of other libraries in the local community to see what they look like and to see what books they stock. We wanted to make ours a Children’s Street Library because we have a lot of children’s books, and there are a lot of children who visit our wonderful preschool. We painted our Street Library colours chosen by the children and this was the most fun part! We hope you enjoy visiting our library.
Our Street Library was a wonderful project that involved our children, educators and even our families. While keeping the Street Library firmly aimed at children, we are also open to including some cookbooks and natural parenting/education books.
