Our library is targeted for 3-5 year old children. The books are high quality children’s literature, selected by early childhood teachers.
The children at our preschool love to read but they have noticed that street libraries often have books just for adults. This is disappointing, so we decided to make a street library just for preschoolers. We are learning to read and sharing stories with people we love is a great way to build a life long love of books, reading and learning.
We hope our street library supports the reading journey of all preschool aged children in Petersham. The KU Petersham Preschool children check the library each day to see if any books need to be repaired and to make sure that the books inside are good to read.
