Lavender Library

31 Cormiston Ave Concord

Mauve and eucalypt green nestled between old lavender plants on upcycled Council throw-out furniture with a gorgeous ceramic peacock handle on the door that I found at the Bower

I found the chair and table by the kerbside and decided they would provide a good stand for the street library. After much searching I found a gorgeous ceramic handle with a peacock on it at the Bower at Marrickville. The colours I chose were left over old paint in the garage. They complemented the lavender plants in my garden where the street library would sit. It is a truly upcycled project. The only new items are some small wire sculptures that I made of garden critters which I then fixed to the chair to carry on the garden theme. I am an artist and loved the creative exercise in creating my library.
