With literacy rates declining across the world, as well as the rise of social media and declining media literacy rates, it is so important we continue to promote reading to as many people as possible. Reading has and will always be political, and everyone should have access to books to broaden their worldview and obtain knowledge about the world they may not otherwise receive. We also aim to encourage people to consume mindfully and contribute books to the library instead of throwing them away.
