I wanted to keep the spirit of reading alive, encourage community connection and have always adored the idea of the street library. As a woodworker, this was something I could bring to life. This library uses repurposed window frames, floorboards and pallet wood. In the design process, the main priority was weatherproofing. But it was the roofing, trims and paint that added the extra jazz to the little library.
