Little Bush Library

We first encountered free street libraries in the USA where a close friend of ours had built and installed one. Being retired teachers we know and value reading and wanted to do something positive to not only promote reading but also a sense of community. Our “Little Bush Library” was designed to resemble a bush hut and was built by a good friend of ours as a workshop project. I painted it and installed as a Christmas gift to my wife (she’s a trained teacher-librarian). For a many years we have given boxes of books to the local school library and more recently done a lot of book swapping in the RV club we’re members of. We intend to try and keep a wide selection of books in the “Little Bush Library” so people of all ages and tastes can find something to read.
