A little gift to my Awesomville community I love sharing books with everyone and anyone and what more wonderful way of doing this than a little laneway library for my beautiful community – ALSTONVILLE
The little sign inside the library:
“A few little suggestions to help spread the joy of the Little Laneway Library
1.Everyone is welcome to contribute or take books. The more the merrier! If you take a book (or two) from the Library, you do not need to return that exact book. However, in order to keep the Little Laneway Library filled with great reads for everyone, the next time you swing by the Library bring a few books to share
2. Please leave books that are in good condition with all the pages intact (imagine being on an exciting journey only to come to a dead-end with no idea of where to go next!)
3. Feel free to leave a little message in the visitor’s book or pop a little note inside the book you leave for the next reader using the post-its and pen provided – but please, don’t take the pen away (or give away the ending)
4. No offensive or illegal material… but “Banned in Boston” are welcomed
5. Feel welcome to share extra produce from your garden however don’t put anything that is spoiled… Bugs don’t play nicely with books
6. And please, close the doors after you have selected your book… we love our resident possum but his idea of ripping through the pages of a good book isn’t quite the same as ours . “
