This street library was created when I lived down the road in Jan Juc at the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic. Worried about the impact on our community loosing access to the local library and kids to their school library I decided to set up a street library in the hope that it would keep people reading, dreaming and sharing. If we ever needed some escapism it is now! I recently moved to Torquay and brought my library with me to my new community. Hoping it keeps my neighbours out walking to visit the library and sharing some good tales.
Take a wander around the friendly Zeally Sands neighbourhood and head down Lowtide Drive to our new community street library. We are here for all in the community to keep you reading and sharing good books. My aim is to keep the library stocked with a mix of adult and kids books, across all genres. Come and grab a book!
